I will dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
